YO! were reigniting their iconic conveyor belts post-pandemic and sought a spectacle to mark the occasion.

Investigation revealed the original YO! sushi conveyor belt was a source of joy for diners. Elevating this idea, we decided to drive the belt with the power of joy itself.

Collaborating with comedian Maddy Lucy Dann, we unveiled the idea at a YO! during the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, where the laughter of the audience fueled the movement of the belt. Additionally, we introduced a policy of prohibiting entry to notorious joy-thieves, specifically Boris Johnson and Piers Morgan.
